WHAT
DOES THE CAMERA CLUB DO?
The purpose of the Camera Club is to promote and advance the art of photography.
To do this, we have:
SLIDE EVALUATIONS with non-Club member judges
DIGITAL EVALUATIONS with non-Club member judges.
PRINT CRITIQUES with non-Club member judges.
At the end-of –the-year we hold a competition with three judges to select the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category and medals are awarded.
We learn a lot from the judges’ comments on how to improve our pictures.
We also provide training.
Our Digi 101 courses should you how to operate your new digital camera and what to do with images once they are on your camera.
Our monthly Digi Sigs provide instruction on how to use the various computer programs to enhance your images.
At our Digi Lab in Club House 4, you can receive individual instruction on Photoshop CS and/or Photoshop Elements.
We meet twice a month, on the 2d and 4th Tuesdays at Club House 3, with one meeting being a slide show presentation and the other being an evaluation or a speaker. They are a good place to learn about photography. We also have biannual dinners where awards are presented and a good time is had by all.
Our annual dues are $15.00 single and $25.00 couple. Newsletters, brochures, and membership applications are available on our Website or the PhotoLab in Club House 4.
We hope you’ll join us at our meetings and become a member of the Camera Club.
